Thailand plans to launch a cryptocurrency sandbox in Phuket in October, former Prime Minister Thaksin: Cryptocurrencies should be quickly adopted

According to the Bangkok Post, former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra stated that the cryptocurrency sandbox is expected to be launched in Phuket in October.

Dekhsin is the father of current Thai Prime Minister Paedongtarn Shinawatra, and he still holds influence in the country's political arena. At last month's Thailand Party seminar, Daksin proposed using Phuket as a Bitcoin sandbox for the tourism industry to encourage cryptocurrency holders to spend their digital currency in Thailand.

In a discussion on the economy of ASEAN countries, Dyksin said that Thailand was more prepared than other countries in the region to promote cryptocurrency, especially after the US President elect Donald Trump planned to adopt cryptocurrency.

When asked about his recent invitation to ASEAN countries to participate in relevant discussions, Dexin stated that such discussions are currently underway. He emphasized that cryptocurrency should be rapidly adopted, otherwise it may lead to top talent in the field flowing to the United States.
